Empirical at Home: COMBAT with Margot Lecarpentier for International Women’s Day
Since then, Combat has been a stronghold for women’s rights, and every year on International Women’s Day Margot organizes a fundraising event for “La Maison des Femmes de Paris.”

As the situation continues to be increasingly crappy for our industry, Margot will not be able to open Combat on March 8th, so we decided to join forces and release COMBAT, a new limited pre-bottled cocktail available via La Liquiderie and Mezcal Brothers.
Based on our Pasilla Mixe chili spirit Ayuuk, COMBAT is a riff on a Hanky Panky, a cocktail created in the early 1900s by Ada ‘Coley’ Coleman, the first and only female head bartender of the American Bar in London.
Cocktail connoisseurs will also notice the influence of the Martinez through the addition of Maraschino.
A cocktail originally made by a woman, twisted by a woman for women. Margot describes it as “strong and smooth, just like Combat.”
All proceeds will go to La Maison des Femmes de Paris.

Our friend Lisa Lov from Tigermom used our Hot Sauce 02 in a BANGING Braised Beef Short Ribs dish, so we politely asked if she minded us sharing it.

Hot Sauce 02 found its way to the heel of Italy and the region of Puglia where cheffe Giorgia Eugenia Goggi from Masseria Moroseta came up with a vibrant beetroot - berry - hot sauce gelato to accompany a decadent chocolate cake.
