Plumtini Kit

From us, to you

The Plumtini kit is the brainchild of our head of R&D Chris, which he first developed while in quarantine almost two years ago.

Due to local regulations we are unfortunately not able to ship this cocktail kit to the U.S. and Canada.

Here is an alternative recipe if you're unable to get this kit.

Chris was in Buenos Aires as part of a group of industry folks for Festival Atlantico, organised by his friend Renato ‘Tato’ Giovannoni

Most people had arrived at Florería Atlántico (Tato’s bar, named 5th best bar in the world at the latest World 50 Best), shared some drinks and began to catch up again, when the first of many lockdowns was announced with immediate effect, meaning Chris had to run to the airport to catch one of the last flights back to Copenhagen.

Before boarding, his friend Tato gifted him a bottle of his own Vermouth Seco, which proved salutary for the days to come.

Back in Copenhagen where he had to quarantine, Chris started using Tato’s vermouth to make a Martini with our Plum Kernel and Marigold spirit The Plum, I Suppose

Now if you look at the concept of a Martini, it is essentially Gin and Vermouth - which makes it both easy and rather difficult to nail.

A great Martini is a Martini where both ingredients complement each other - applying this reasoning to the situation at hand, it meant finding a way for the beautiful floral notes of the plum to shine through, while giving room for this wine forward vermouth to be the back bone.

It so happens that Chris’ favorite Martini (the Hoffman House) involves orange bitters. And so, as one does, Chris started working on housemade bitters to complement The Plum, I Suppose and Tato’s vermouth seco.

The kit also comes with two Italian Ice Cups, used as Plumtini glasses, from Danish design company HAY. Everything is packed in a handcrafted box made by Danish company ELVO from carefully selected sustainable fiberboard. We hope you’ll give it a second life.
